Alpha Home and Buidling Inspections, PLLC’s mission is to empower the property buyer/owner with the knowledge needed to protect their investment. This knowledge includes how to properly maintain the property, plan for repairs and upgrades, and deal with with safety issues observed during the course of an inspection. We provide thorough, high quality, and detailed inspections, review sessions, and reports, using our decades of experience in the building trades at each inspection.

My name is Brent Mitchell, owner of Alpha Home and Building Inspections, PLLC. I am proud to be a Certified Professional Inspector with InterNACHI. MY BIO – I have over 20 years of experience in the building trades including new construction, extensive remodeling, trim, cabinetry, stairs, general contractor, etc. I use my years of experience to help the homeowner/purchaser to know what the condition of the home and as importantly, know how to repair, improve, and maintain the home.
I fell in love with working on houses during college when I worked at a lumberyard in south central Illinois. Customers would ask me to come out and help them on the weekends and this turned in to a career. I spent nearly 25 years doing everything from new construction to extensive remodeling, from trim/cabinetry/stairs to general contracting. I saw it all and many issues that ended up costing a lot of money to repair could have been prevented with KNOWLEDGE. I want to educate homeowners how to take care of their investment so they don’t end up with expensive repairs later. Besides construction, I am an accomplished professional musician along with my wife, Michelle. We have 8 children between the 2 of us and 4 grandchildren. I enjoy nature, campfires, outdoors, reading (when I can), and most all, family.
